I got an email today from a customer pertaining to security and anti-virus programs. She was asking what kind of free software there was out there. She said “I hear that there are free anti virus programs out there but I cant find any. What do you know of this?” . So I have decided to address that here since I have received many such emails! First of all there are many free anti virus and spy-ware removal programs on the Internet. However, you must be extremely careful while downloading files, because even though your downloading anti virus programs they can also carry viruses. So, I guess the moral of the story is to make sure your downloading from a reputable site. There is also something else that I like to mention, it IS possible to be over protected. Most times when you have multiple forms of anti virus running they interfere with each other and generally don't work correctly or just completely fail all together.
